Need help with Teers? Start here.

The fastest way to reach a human is email — aidschw@gmail.com. Teers is currently a one-person operation, so replies usually arrive within a day or two; bug reports tend to get same-day attention.

Common questions

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, rankings, friends, and group memberships. It can't be undone. If the delete button reports an error, email us with your username and we'll handle it manually.

How do I report someone or something abusive?

Tap the ⋯ menu on any ranking, profile, or comment, then Report. Reports go to a shared moderation queue we review daily. For urgent issues — threats, doxxing, child safety — email us directly with a screenshot and we'll handle it immediately.

How do I block another user?

Same ⋯ menu as Report → Block. Blocks are symmetric: the blocked person stops seeing your content and you stop seeing theirs. You can unblock anyone later from Settings → Blocked users.

How do I change my username or display name?

Settings → Edit profile. Usernames are unique across Teers; if the one you want is taken, you'll get an inline error.

How do I add friends?

Friends tab → Find friends. You can search by username, share an invite link, or accept incoming friend requests from the same screen.

How does "Find friends from contacts" work?

Settings → FRIENDS → Find friends from contacts. When you tap it, we ask iOS for permission to read your contacts. If you grant it, your contacts' phone numbers are normalized and one-way SHA-256 hashed on your device before anything is sent to Teers. We never see your contacts' names, raw numbers, or any other info. Hashes that match a registered Teers user are returned so you can follow them; we also store the hashes so we can notify you when someone in your contacts joins Teers later. You can revoke the contacts permission anytime in iOS Settings → Teers → Contacts.

I'm not getting push notifications

Check Settings → Notifications inside the app, and make sure Teers is allowed to send notifications in your iPhone's Settings → Teers → Notifications. If both look fine but pushes still aren't arriving, email us your username and roughly when you signed up — we'll check the server side.

I can't sign in

If you signed up with Sign in with Apple, make sure you're using the same Apple ID. If you used email, use the Forgot password flow on the sign-in screen. Still stuck? Email us and we'll sort it out.

I think I found a bug

Email aidschw@gmail.com with:

  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • Your iPhone model + iOS version, if you remember
  • A screenshot or screen recording if you have one

Crash reports are sent automatically (no personal data attached), but a description from you usually speeds up the fix.

I want to give feedback or request a feature

Same email. We read everything. The roadmap is heavily shaped by what testers ask for.
